Making History Accessible
The Centre for the Study of Arms History offers access to more than 3,000 books, periodicals, archival documents, and ephemera items via its library and archive. We are seeking to add more materials soon.
Access is available to students, researchers, and professionals (e.g., curators) working in relevant fields. Access is currently by appointment only—please contact us for details.
CSAH also works to connect students and researchers with specialised arms history libraries at partner institutions. Access is also provided in conjunction with fellowships.
CSAH is seeking funding for the following library and archive projects:
Securing a single location to centralise our existing collection of books and other materials, thereby improving access for researchers;
Cataloguing our collection and making that catalogue digitally available; and
Expanding our holdings to provide a broader range of resources to interested researchers. Our holdings are currently strong on firearms and military history, but weak on other arms.
Can you assist us in achieving these aims? Please contact us to discuss, or make a donation today!
CSAH also accepts the donation of books, journals, magazines, catalogues, ephemera, and other items that support our mission.
